A Dummy's Guide' to Uploading your images ... sorry, not meaning to offend, just using the 'popular' Training Guide Name

1. You CANNOT use the Instant/Quick Reply ... there is NO facility for Uploading images ... it's text ONLY.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you'll see this ...

Then 2 ... You'ld click on it and see this ... the bally tree everyone is on about
3) Click on this tree (or, cock your leg if you're a dog OR crouch against it if you're a puppy; please don't leave any marks please) ... then you'll get
4) The ability to 'Browse' in your own computer to the folder/files where your images you want to use are located. As an example, I've used this ...
5) Choose the piccie you want to use and click the button that says 'open',  'yes' or whatever other affirmative your Operating System tells you. Now comes the hard and tortuous part. You HAVE TO WAIT ...
6) You REALLY DO have to Press the 'UPLOAD' button and then wait a wee while ... go get a bonio whilst this happens!
7) And then in the place where it had all that Latin gobbledygook you've now got your image.

BUT ... there's one final point you HAVE TO DO (SO many people forget this ... Colm) You have to CLICK 'OK' and ...

BUT ... BIG Please!!! Your image CANNOT be bigger than 150Kb in size (you know Killer Bites ... as in Boy Bytes Rottie) and also to make the viewing experience a Good Un ... please use whatever program you want to make sure the individual piccie is NOT BIGGER than 640 X 480 Pixels (not Pixxies or Tooth Fairy ... but the number of PIXELS that will show on the screen). Your image will look SOOO good when it complies with all the above.

And ... PRESTO .. press the 'POST REPLY' button and ...

Today, updated the upload script to automatically resize pictures for you so that they fit the forum, thus saving you all the hassle!

Hi Justintime, if you sign up to Photobucket and upload your pics to that, it has a downsizing facility.....

If you want I can post your pooch for you while you get acquainted with photobucket.....? Just send your pic as an email attachment to:  socket _ hen @ yahoo.co.uk (no spaces) and I'll get to it asap...

Great picture, gorgeous coat
With the exception of women, there is nothing on earth so agreeable or necessary to the comfort of man as the dog.

New to this forum lark but hopefully practice will make perfect..... Myself and my puppy Rotty, Belle are looking forward to having some serious doggy chats because all my friends are absolutely sick of listening to me at this stage.

Just had a look there Zara and I can see the text and demonstrative images just fine....
Try posting a photo in reply to this post by following these steps:

In the top right corner of this comment box that you're reading there is a Reply button- click on that.
A new comment box will appear, the same as it has done for you before.
There are icons and editting tools above the box. Directly above the B that you would use to make text bold, there is a small picture of a tree, grass and sky. Click on that.

A smaller window titled Image Properties will appear. Now there are 2 ways to put in your photo:
1) You can copy and paste the image URL from photobucket into the Image URL area, click on Preview on the right of that URL area, then click on OK under the box that your image appears in.
or
2) You can upload a photo/picture from your computer. Click on Browse.... your documents will appear in another window. Look through to find the photo you want to upload, and click on Open to get the file name into the Image Properties box.
Then click on Upload which is on the bottom left. Wait while the file is uploaded to the server. When your image appears in the Preview box, click on Ok....
....and that's it- your image should appear in the comment box. It will appear wherever you clicked your cursor in the box. You can use the return key on your keyboard to type text in the comment box above or below the photo you just inserted.

When you're ready to post- click on the Post Reply button as before.

If all that fails, email the photo to socket_hen@yahoo.co.uk and I'll post it up for you.
